Before you collect your puppy

Before you collect your puppy

  • A crate sized for an adult Labrador, with a divider for now

  • The food your puppy is already eating: BRAND TBC

  • Stainless bowls, a flat collar, and a six-foot leash
  • Durable chew toys — Labradors are serious about this

  • An appointment with your own veterinarian in the first few days

  • Your first AmericanK9 lesson on the calendar

Your First 48 Hours

Expect a puppy who sleeps hard, misses her littermates at night, and needs out every couple of hours. Keep the world small for two days: one room, one routine, few visitors.

Crate & Housebreaking

Your puppy arrives already started. Continue the same rhythm — out after waking, after eating, after play — and most families are through the worst of it quickly.

Book Your Lessons

Your six private training lessons are scheduled directly with AmericanK9, on the same farm where your puppy was born.

Vaccinations After You Go Home

Vaccinations

Your puppy leaves with age-appropriate vaccinations complete and records showing exactly what is due next. Your veterinarian continues the series. Until it is finished, keep your puppy off ground where unknown dogs go.
